Review and pause delivery zones from the app

Review your delivery zones and pause or resume a zone from the app.

Published June 2, 2026

The MenuDock app shows your delivery zones for the branch you're working on, and lets you pause or resume any one of them. That's handy mid-service when a driver calls in sick or one area is taking too long. One thing to know first: you can pause and resume zones from the app, but creating and editing them is done in the web admin.

Zones belong to the branch you're viewing. Check the branch in the app bar if you run more than one.

Open the Delivery Zones screen

  1. Open the Settings tab from the bottom navigation.
  2. Tap Delivery Zones.

At the top you'll see the branch name and how its zones are priced: by distance or by postcode list. In distance mode, the screen also shows the restaurant postcode that distance is measured from. Below that is a card for each zone.

The Delivery Zones screen in the mobile app: the branch name and pricing mode at the top, then a card per zone showing its label, postcodes or radius, fee, and a pause/resume switch.

What each zone card shows

On the card Meaning
Label The zone's name, for example "Up to 2 miles"
Postcodes or radius The area it covers (a list of postcodes, or a distance bracket)
Fee What you charge for delivery to that zone, in your store's currency
Switch Pause or resume the zone

A paused zone is dimmed and carries a Paused badge.

Pause or resume a zone

  1. Find the zone on the screen.
  2. Tap its switch.

Pausing a zone stops you delivering there for now. The label, area and fee stay saved, so resuming is one more tap. While the write is in progress the switch shows a brief spinner and ignores extra taps. When a customer's postcode falls only in a paused zone, they're told you don't deliver there at the moment.

Editing zones is web-only

You can't add a zone, change its fee or area, switch the pricing mode, or set the restaurant postcode from the app. Those need address lookups and validation that stay on the web side. Do that work in the web admin under Settings → Ordering, then the new or changed zones show up here ready to pause or resume. See Delivery zones and fees for the full editor.

When to change this

  • Pause a zone when you're behind on deliveries to that area and want to stop new ones building up.
  • Pause a far-out zone late in the evening, then resume it next service.
  • Resume everything at the start of the day so your full delivery area is open again.

Need a hand?

If a zone won't pause, check you've got a branch selected in the app bar and try again after a moment. If you need to change a fee or add a new area and can't find the controls, that's expected: those live in the web admin. Still stuck? Email support@menudock.co.uk with your store name.
