The MenuDock restaurant app keeps things to a few screens so staff can find what they need at a glance. This article walks through the layout: the three tabs along the bottom, the branch chip at the top, and what each part is for.
The three tabs
Along the bottom of the screen are three tabs. Tap one to switch to it, and the title at the top changes to match.
| Tab | Title at the top | What it's for |
|---|---|---|
| Orders | Order Management | Your live orders, grouped by stage. This is where staff spend most of their time. |
| History | Order History | Past orders by day, plus a totals breakdown. |
| Settings | Settings | Printers, delivery zones, store closure, product availability, the new-order sound and the app language. |

The app opens on the Orders tab. New orders appear here on their own as customers place them, so most of the time you can leave the app sitting on this screen. See Live orders on the app for how the order stages work.
The History tab is for looking back: pick a day and see that day's orders, or switch to a totals view. See Order history on the app.
The Settings tab gathers the day-to-day controls. Most of them save to your account and show up on the web admin too. A couple are tied to the device you're holding: the new-order sound alert and the app language.

The branch chip
If your account covers more than one branch, a chip appears at the top of the screen showing the branch you're currently working in. Tap it to switch to another branch; the orders and settings then follow that branch.
If you only have one branch, there's nothing to switch between, so the chip is hidden. See Switch between branches for the full detail.
