Customer order history

Open a customer to see their details and every order they have placed.

Published June 2, 2026

Every registered customer has a profile that gathers their details and every order they've placed in one view. It's handy when a regular gets in touch, or when you want to see how often someone orders and what they spend. This article shows how to open a customer and read their history. To find your way around the list itself, see Customer list and profiles.

Open a customer

Go to Customers in the sidebar, find the person (search by name or email if the list is long), and click the view icon on their row. That opens their profile at /admin/customers/[id].

The profile

At the top sits a card with the customer's details: their name, email, phone and the date they registered. Below that, three stats summarise their relationship with your store:

  • Total orders — how many orders they've placed.
  • Total spend — the sum of all their order totals, in your store currency.
  • Last order — the date of their most recent order.

Reading the order history

Under the stats is the Order history table, listing the customer's orders newest first. Each row shows:

  • Order ID — the order number.
  • Type — Collection or Delivery.
  • the order date (shown in a column headed Registered).
  • Status — where the order is in its journey, as a coloured badge (Pending, Received, Preparing, Ready, Delivered or Cancelled).
  • Total — what the order came to.

Click any row to jump straight to that order's full detail page, where you can see the items, change the status, refund and so on. That detail page is covered in Manage orders in the admin.

If the customer has an account but hasn't ordered yet, the table is replaced with a short No orders yet note, and the stats sit at zero.

How orders are matched to a customer

The history shows the orders placed under that customer's email address. So a profile's history and stats reflect everything tied to their email, which is what you'd expect for a registered customer.

Worth knowing: orders are matched by email, not by a hidden account link. If a regular once checked out as a guest using the same email they later registered with, those earlier orders still show in their history because the email lines up. Orders placed under a different email won't appear, even if it's the same person. This only matters for customers who have an account; guests have no profile at all, as explained in Guest checkout vs registered customers.
