Let customers sign in with Google or Apple

Let customers sign in to your storefront with Google or Apple.

Published June 2, 2026

Customers ordering from your storefront can sign in or create an account using their Google or Apple account, instead of typing an email and password. This article explains where those buttons appear, what you as the restaurant need to know, and why there's nothing for you to set up.

What customers see

On your storefront's sign-in and registration pages, customers get two buttons at the top, Continue with Google and Continue with Apple, sitting above the usual email and password fields with an "or" divider in between.

The storefront login page showing the "Continue with Google" and "Continue with Apple" buttons above the email and password sign-in form.

A customer taps a button, signs in with that account, and they're returned to your store already logged in. Their name and email come across from the provider, and they fill in their phone number when they place their first order. It's a faster path than creating yet another password.

There's nothing for you to set up

Social login is managed by the MenuDock platform on behalf of every store. It isn't a per-store switch in your admin panel and it isn't tied to your plan. You don't create any Google or Apple credentials, and you don't connect anything on the Integrations page. When it's enabled for the platform, the buttons appear on your storefront automatically, including on your custom domain if you have one.

Each store is still separate

The same Google or Apple account can be used to sign in at many different MenuDock stores, and each store keeps its own separate record of that customer. Their orders, saved addresses and profile at your store are yours alone and aren't shared with any other restaurant. A customer signing in with Google at your store is a fresh customer record on your side the first time they visit.

What customers control

Signing in this way uses the customer's existing Google or Apple account, so things like resetting that password are handled by Google or Apple, not by MenuDock or by you. If a customer asks for help getting into their account, point them to the provider for account or password issues. Anything about their orders with you is still yours to help with from the admin panel.

When the buttons don't appear

If the buttons aren't showing on your storefront, social login isn't switched on at the platform level (this can be the case in some environments and during setup). Customers can still sign in and register the normal way with an email and password, so ordering is never blocked either way.
