If your account covers more than one branch, the app shows one branch at a time. A location switcher lets you change which branch you're working in, so you see that branch's orders, settings and printers. This article covers where the switcher is and what it controls. If you run a single branch, there's nothing to switch and you won't see a switcher at all.
Where the switcher is
There are two ways to switch branch on the app:
- The chip in the top bar. When you have more than one branch, a chip at the top of the screen shows the branch you're in. Tap it to open the picker.
- The Location row in Settings. Open the Settings tab and tap Location to open the same picker.
Both open Select Location, a list of your branches with the current one marked. Tap a branch to make it active.

What the active branch controls
The branch you pick drives what the rest of the app shows. Once you switch, these all follow the active branch:
| What you see | Tied to the active branch |
|---|---|
| Orders | The live orders for that branch only. |
| History | Past orders for that branch. |
| Settings | Printers, delivery zones, store closure and product availability for that branch. |
So set the switcher to the branch you mean to work on before you start, the same as you would on the web admin. If orders or settings look wrong, check which branch is active first.
Single-branch accounts
If your account has one branch, there's nothing to switch between, so the chip and the Location row are hidden. The app simply opens on that branch.
Which branches you can switch to depends on your access. If you're scoped to specific branches, the picker lists only those. This works the same way as the web admin, covered in Switching the active location.
When to change this
Switch branch whenever you move between sites, or when one device covers more than one branch and you need to check another branch's queue. The choice sticks until you change it, so a device left on one branch stays there.
