If you've cancelled your MenuDock subscription, or it has lapsed because a payment kept failing, you can start it again. How you do that depends on whether it's already ended or just scheduled to end. This article covers both, and what to expect afterwards.
You need to be the account owner to reactivate.
If your subscription is scheduled to end but still active
When you cancel, your subscription doesn't stop straight away. It stays active until the end of the month you've already paid for. During that window, undoing the cancellation is one click.
Open Subscription from the left-hand menu. You'll see an amber notice: "Subscription will end on [date]. You can keep it active before then."
Click Keep subscription. The cancellation is cancelled, your plan carries on as normal, and you'll be billed again on your usual renewal date. Nothing was lost, because the subscription never actually ended.
If your subscription has already ended
If you let it lapse, either by cancelling and letting the period run out or by payments failing until the subscription was terminated, your account is suspended. You can still sign in, but the admin panel redirects you to a Reactivate your subscription page, and your storefront stops taking orders until you're back on a plan.
To get going again:
- Sign in to the admin panel. You'll land on the Reactivate page automatically.
- Pick a plan. Your previous plan is marked Your previous plan, but you're free to choose any of the three. It's a good moment to right-size if your needs have changed.
- Click Choose this plan. MenuDock sends you to a secure checkout to take the first month's payment.
- Once the payment clears, you're back. Your admin panel unlocks and your storefront starts taking orders again.
What comes back, and what doesn't
Reactivating restores access to everything tied to your plan, and your menu, orders, customers and settings are all still there. Suspending an account doesn't delete your data.
One thing to know: if your old plan included a custom domain, that domain was removed when the subscription ended, and reactivating doesn't bring it back automatically. You'll need to add it again from scratch once you're on Pro or Business. Extra locations, POS connections and Stripe Connect payouts are paused rather than deleted, so those switch back on when you return to a plan that includes them. The full picture is in What happens when you change plan.
You reactivate using the same payment processor you signed up with, so your billing details are remembered. You usually just confirm and go.
