The Overview page is the at-a-glance dashboard for your restaurant. It pulls the headline numbers (sales, orders, customers, cancellations) for whatever date range you pick, and shows when orders come in and what's selling. It's the first page under Analytics in the admin sidebar, and the one to open when you just want a quick read on how trade is going.
Analytics is open to owners and managers. Viewers and staff don't see it.
Open the Overview
- In the admin sidebar, open Analytics.
- The section opens on Overview by default.
If there are no orders in the selected range, you'll see "No orders in this range" instead of the cards. Once orders start coming in, the dashboard fills out.
The KPI cards
Six cards run across the top. Each is calculated only from orders inside your selected range.
| Card | What it counts |
|---|---|
| Sales | Two figures: Gross (what customers paid, minus refunds) and Net (gross minus delivery fees passed to couriers and tips passed to staff). Cancelled orders are excluded. |
| Orders | Number of orders placed, excluding cancellations. |
| Average order value | Gross sales divided by the order count. |
| Cancelled | Number of cancelled orders. The footnote shows the count and the value lost. |
| New customers | Customers whose first-ever order for you falls in this range. |
| Returning customers | Customers in this range who had ordered from you before the range started. |
New vs. returning is worked out from the customer's email, so a guest who orders twice under the same email counts as returning the second time.
Date range and comparison
The date range picker sits at the top right and drives every figure on the page. Pick a preset (Today, Yesterday, Last 7 days, This week, Last week, This month, Last month, Last 30 days) or choose Custom to set your own start and end dates.
The range you choose is held in the page address, so you can bookmark or share a link to a specific view. For example, ?range=last_30_days opens the last 30 days.
Next to the picker is the Compare toggle. It's on by default and overlays the matching previous period (yesterday for today, last week for this week, and so on), then shows each card's change as a percentage. Turn it off if you'd rather see plain numbers with no comparison.
All dates are read in your restaurant's time zone, so "today" means today where you are, not in UTC.
The location filter
If you run more than one branch (Business plan), the location switcher in the top bar decides which branch the figures cover. Pick a single branch to scope every card and chart to it, or choose All locations to roll the whole business into one view. Single-branch restaurants don't see the switcher, since there's nothing to switch between.
The charts
Below the cards:
- Orders by hour plots how many orders landed in each hour of the day across the range. Use it to spot your busy windows and plan staffing.
- Order type is a donut splitting orders into Delivery and Collection, with the total in the middle.
- Top 5 products lists your best sellers by revenue, with quantity and revenue for each.

When to change this
Nothing here is a setting, so there's nothing to configure. The one thing worth setting is your time zone under business settings, since every "by hour" and "by day" figure depends on it.
