Setting up MenuDock starts on the public site, not in the admin panel. You pick a plan, enter a few details about your restaurant, and pay for your first month. This article walks through both steps and what happens straight after.
Step 1: Choose a plan
Go to the MenuDock site and click Get started (or open Pricing and choose a plan there). You'll land on a two-step form. The first step is the plan picker.

There are three plans, all billed monthly in pounds:
| Plan | Price | Best for |
|---|---|---|
| Starter | £25/month | A new restaurant taking its first online orders |
| Pro | £49/month | A growing restaurant that wants its own domain, wallet payments and reporting |
| Business | £99/month | Multiple locations or a POS connection (Square, EposNow) |
A few things worth knowing before you pick:
- Custom storefront themes are included on every plan, Starter included — pick yours from Appearance in the admin.
- A custom domain (yourrestaurant.com), Apple Pay / Google Pay and reporting arrive on Pro.
- POS integrations and up to three locations are Business features; extra locations are £30/month each.
- You're not locked in. You can upgrade or downgrade later from the admin panel, so start with whatever matches you today.
Card payments (Stripe, Square or PayPal) and unlimited menu items are included on every plan, and payouts go straight to you, not through MenuDock.
Click Choose [plan] to move on. The full feature breakdown lives in Plan comparison.
Step 2: Your details
Now MenuDock needs three things:
- Restaurant name: what shows on your storefront.
- Your subdomain: your free address on
.menudock.co.uk(for examplecozy-kitchen.menudock.co.uk). It's filled in from your restaurant name automatically; you can edit it, but only lowercase letters, numbers and hyphens are allowed. Pick carefully, as this is the web address customers will use. - Email address: this becomes your owner login.

Press Continue to payment. MenuDock hands you over to Stripe to take your first month's payment securely. Once that goes through, we email you a link to set your password.
After you pay
Open the email and follow the link to choose a password. That password is your owner login for both the web admin panel and the MenuDock mobile app, so use the same one in both places.
From there you land on the dashboard, where the Welcome to MenuDock checklist walks you through the rest of the setup. See The onboarding checklist and going live, or follow the quick path in Getting started: the 10-minute checklist.
Changing your mind later
Your plan isn't permanent. You can move up or down at any time in Change your plan. Your subdomain is set during signup; if you later want your own web address, that's a custom domain on Pro and Business.
