Business Settings is where your restaurant's core details live: the name on your storefront, how customers reach you, and the currency you charge in. These feed your storefront, your receipts, and the emails customers receive, so it's worth getting right early.
Where to find it
In the admin panel, open Settings → Business Settings (or go straight to /admin/settings).

What each field does
| Field | What it controls |
|---|---|
| Business name | The name shown across your storefront, receipts and emails. Required. |
| Contact email | Where customer enquiries and copies of order emails go. |
| Phone number | Shown to customers and printed on receipts. |
| Address | Your location's address, used on the storefront and receipts. |
| Timezone | Used for opening hours, scheduled orders and report dates. Set it to where the restaurant actually is. |
| Currency | The currency for every price, the checkout and your payouts. |
| Storefront language | The language customers see on your storefront (English, Français or Türkçe). |
Edit what you need, then press Save changes. Discard throws away anything you've changed since the last save.
A word on currency
Currency is the one field to settle before you take any money. It drives your menu prices, the checkout total, and the payout you receive, and MenuDock never assumes pounds, so a café in Dublin can charge in euros. Changing it once real orders exist is messy, because past orders were placed in the old currency. Pick the right one now and leave it.
Temporary closure
Lower down the page is Temporary closure. Switch on Temporarily closed to stop taking new orders without hiding your storefront, and add a short message so customers know why (a holiday, a busy night, a kitchen problem). Turn it back off when you reopen. You can also flip this from the MenuDock mobile app.
If you run more than one location
The phone, address and timezone here belong to your main location. On the Business plan, each branch keeps its own address and hours, which you manage under Locations. The business name, currency and storefront language apply across the whole account.
