Your operator account is the login you use to sign in to the MenuDock admin panel and the mobile app. It's separate from your business details and separate from your customers' accounts. This article covers where your name and email come from, what you can change about your own account, and how to sign out or switch between accounts.
This is about your login as the person running the restaurant. If you're looking to change the store's name, address or phone number that customers see, that lives in Business settings, not here.
Where to find your profile
There's no Profile entry in the Settings menu. Instead, look at the top-right corner of the admin panel, where your store name and email sit next to a round avatar with your initial. Click that to open your profile, or go straight to /admin/profile.
On a phone, tap the same avatar to open the menu, then choose Profile & password.
What you can change
The profile page has two sections.
Personal information holds your first name, last name and email.
- First name and last name are yours to edit. Change them and press Save changes. The name is used to identify you across the admin panel and the mobile app.
- Email is shown but greyed out. You can't change your sign-in email from this page. If you need a different email on your account, email us at support@menudock.co.uk and we'll sort it.
A small badge next to the heading shows your role: Owner, Manager, Staff or Viewer. That's set by whoever added you to the team, and you can't change it yourself. If your role is wrong, ask the account owner to update it under Settings → Team.
Change password lets you set a new password while you're signed in. There's more on that in Reset your password.

Signing out
To sign out, use the Sign out button at the bottom of the left-hand sidebar on desktop. On a phone, open the avatar menu in the top-right. Signing out ends your session on that device only; you stay signed in anywhere else.
Switching accounts
MenuDock doesn't have a built-in account switcher. Each login belongs to one person and one set of restaurant workspaces. To work as a different person, sign out and sign back in with the other email and password.
If you run more than one restaurant on MenuDock under the same login, you don't switch accounts to move between them. You switch locations using the location picker in the top bar, and you switch plans or billing under your subscription. One login can hold several locations.
Do you sign in with Google or Apple?
The storefront offers customers Google and Apple sign-in, but the admin panel doesn't. You sign in to /admin with your email and password only. So the social login buttons your customers see don't apply to your operator account. See Let customers sign in with Google or Apple for what that feature does on the storefront.

Need a hand?
Can't see the profile link, or your name won't save? Email support@menudock.co.uk with your store name and we'll take a look. To change the email on your account, that's the route to use too, since it can't be done from the page itself.
