Location limits and extra branches

How many locations each plan includes, and the cost of adding more.

Published June 2, 2026

A "location" in MenuDock is one branch of your business: its own menu overrides, opening hours, payment account and order screen. How many you can run depends on your plan. This article covers how many locations each plan includes and what extra branches cost.

How many locations each plan includes

Plan Locations included
Starter 1
Pro 1
Business 3

Starter and Pro are single-location plans. On those, MenuDock hides the location concept entirely: there's no branch switcher and no per-location settings, because there's only one. You manage one menu, one set of hours, one payment account.

Business is the multi-location plan. It includes 3 locations and adds the controls for running them: a location switcher, per-branch settings, and the ability to scope a teammate to specific branches (see What each role can do).

Adding more than three

On Business you can go past the included 3. Each additional branch is £30 / month, billed alongside your plan. So a Business store with 5 locations pays £99 for the plan plus £60 for the two extra branches.

There's no hard cap stated for how many you can add; you pay £30 a month for each one beyond the first three. Billing for the extras runs through your subscription, so they show on the same invoice. For exactly how and when the charge applies, see How extra locations are billed.

What happens to extra locations if you downgrade

Downgrading from Business to a single-location plan doesn't delete your branches. Locations beyond the new plan's limit are switched off, and their menus and settings are kept. If you upgrade back to Business, they reactivate. This is covered in full in What happens when you change plan.

So you never lose a branch's setup by changing plan; the extra ones just go dormant until you're back on a plan that allows them.
